The story behind the production is a treasure. Fair Trade pioneer, Philip Leakey designed a special cold press system, ensuring the highest quality oil extraction from the pit of the marula fruit. Only the fallen fruit is collected, letting animals eat the fruit on the trees and all parts of the fruit used to create products that provide income for the local communities in East Africa. The oil is filtered through a technologically advanced filtration process (0.3-0.4 microns) to remove any particles, moisture, and microbiological contaminants. This oil is of the highest quality.
