Who We Are
Amanda Ross Skin Care is a women owned company providing, all natural, botanical based products. Our ingredients are ethically sourced and our formulations are carefully crafted to be gentle and results driven. Our line is suitable for every skin type and also a popular choice for estheticians to use in their back bar. Every decision we make is based on providing superior clean beauty products at a reasonable price point.
Amanda’s Story
Amanda Ross is a second generation esthetician who focuses on a holistic approach to skincare. It all started when Amanda found the book Herbs & Things, by Jeanne Rose as an adolescent. This collection of herbal knowledge and age old traditions struck many a heart string and that’s how her deep love of plants and their healing properties began. Simultaneously, her loving mother, Martha Ann Inlander Ross began her journey as an Esthetician and dedicated her practice to natural skincare.
Since Amanda had the great fortune of living with her experienced esthetician/mother, she was taught how to properly and gently care for her teenage skin. Her mama treated the hormonal breakouts so gently and effectively. Amanda fell in love with the value of self care and the importance of a daily skin care ritual.
It wasn't until she graduated from college and started a career in the apparel field that Amanda realized she was missing something. The call to heal and nurture was a burning desire. Approving fabric swatches for holiday pajamas was not bringing enough fulfillment, it was time to rethink her future so she went back to school; esthetician school.
Once again, blessed by luck… Amanda began her career as an esthetician by her mother’s side. Together, they treated many beautiful faces while nurturing hearts and souls for over ten years. They worked with a sophisticated organic skin care brand that yielded amazing results and this gave Amanda a solid foundation to go out on her own.
Eventually, Amanda felt a gap in the skincare that was available to her. The products were coming from halfway around the world and they were overly expensive. The desire to offer something made locally with ethically sourced, botanical ingredients and attainably priced fueled a fire in her healing heart. As luck would have it… she found the perfect team to make her product line locally! It’s been over 10 years now and her line has grown from one moisturizing cream, the Rose Geranium Firming Cream, to a full brand of 18 products and growing. Our team of strong women, who share the same values, assist in marketing, design, and sales. We love being in the hands of skilled nature loving estheticians, like Alkemy Skincare in Petaluma & Pure Bliss Day Spa in Madison, GA. You can find the brand all over West Marin and in both Good Earth Locations.
Meet our Team
Bella Mann
Bella Mann is a student at UCSC studying Psychology and Feminist Studies. In her free time she enjoys surfing, fermenting, playing music, and hiking in nature. She is the daughter of Amanda Ross and has been enthusiastically using ARSC for over 20 years! At ARSC today she is an editor, brand ambassador, and photographer.
Her favorite Amanda Ross product for both her skin and hair is the Roman Camomile Calming Oil.
Iman Bengana
Iman is a Bay Area native who escaped to France to study film at the American University in Paris. Her international travels, appreciation for food, wine, nature and beauty is what drives her fiercely unique artistic eye. Amanda has known Iman for many many years and has been so pleased to recruit her to be our content creator. Iman has been responsible for adding such a beautiful golden light to our social media content as well as keeping our website looking fresh. Iman has experience in the advertising world and in event production. Her eye for detail, her imagination and her sense of humor all contribute to her animated content creation.
Iman’s favorite Amanda Ross product is the Nectar of Youth Mist. She loves to keep it in the fridge for a cool, refreshing feel that instantly lifts her mood when she needs a pick-me-up.
Keila Gracie
Keila Gracie is a long time Bolinas resident, cancer survivor raising her grandson Niko, caring for elders,and blessing the blends at Amanda Ross Skin Care as she carefully bottles, labels and organizes supplies.
Amanda Ross products are a beautiful reflexion of Marin Living, where we are grateful and mindful of our natural, organic healthy resources for self care and the cares of our community as well.
